It was a beautiful sunny day for Sherilyn and Nick’s wedding! The bride and groom had an outdoor wedding overlooking the lake at Bay Pointe Golf Club. The colors for the wedding were white and mint green. Lillies, Roses, Alstromeria, and various foilage including a couple of our favorites…Italian Ruscus and Lambs Ear. As I sit here looking out the window at the snow glistening like diamonds as the sun shines down I can understand the beauty of a winter wedding in Michigan.
A few weeks ago Krista and Eric pledged their love to each other and celebrated with a wedding in January. The lovely couple had their reception at Waldenwoods Resort with wood burning fireplaces and rustic charm. We enjoyed working with Krista and her family. Truly a wonderful group of people and with the new fallen snow, Krista and Eric had many family and friends that were able to attend to help them celebrate their marriage.
The bride’s dress was beautiful and suited Krista’s chic style perfectly. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and white lisianthus with an ivory satin wrap. The wedding party wore black and carried ivory roses with a champagne wrap. Krista wanted a unique design for her centerpieces and we were excited to make that happen.
The bride wanted the design of her wedding to reflect the rustic charm of the venue. Our advice to our brides is if the venue has a unique characteristic, incorporate that into your design and build on the beauty of the event. We have worked with many brides that have both their ceremony and reception at Waldenwoods and each wedding was unique to the bride and groom. Your wedding should reflect your style and although our consultations are focused on the flowers for your wedding day it is an opportunity for us to incorporate your personality into the design.
After 12 years in the business you would think we have seen it all, but that is the beauty of weddings, not one is the same.
